DTA Introduction

By no means, not all aluminium composite panels can be used for facing facades of buildings. "The Offer on application of hinged ventilated facades with facing of aluminium composite panels", developed in CNIISK of Kucherenko, has a number of regulating requirements to such materials.

According to this document in hinged front systems it is necessary to apply only those composite panels which have successfully passed fire natural tests in accordance with GOST 31251-2003 "Designs building. Methods of definition of fire danger. Walls external from the external party" in structure of front systems. By results of tests to systems should be appropriated the corresponding class of fire danger, and it should have "the Technical estimation" suitability.

Alongside with it in "the Offer" designated the universal parameter which defines suitability of aluminium composite panels for application on facades of buildings. Such parameter is the lowest heat of combustion of an average layer which is defined by a method of the differential-thermal analysis (DTA).

Hinged ventilated facades should have facing of cassette type of composite panels with the lowest heat of combustion of an average layer less than 14 Mj/kg. Thus with the purpose of maintenance of the control of composite panels applied on objects supervising bodies are recommended to spend the identification control methods of the thermal analysis under Appendix A of GOST 31251 and a method of definition of the lowest heat of combustion on EN ISO 1716:2002 "Reaction to fire test for building products - Determinations of the heat of combustion" with the subsequent comparison of the received results with similar results of the researches, received at the identification control of the materials used at test of systems in accordance with GOST 31251.

In 2009 year in VNIIPO the Ministry of Emergency Measures of the Russian Federation have been lead the differential-thermal analysis (DTA) for definition of heat of combustion of an internal layer of aluminium composite panels SIBALUX®. Samples the general thickness of 4 mm with thickness of an aluminium leaf of 0,4 mm burnt. By results of tests it is established, that heat of combustion of an internal layer of aluminium composite panel SIBALUX® makes 11,87 Mj/kg. Thus, the composite SIBALUX® once again confirmed it's full compliance with Russia and the European standards set for facade materials.
